Connect to Worship

Worship

These are a few basics to help you feel more at home when participating in worship.

Wherever you are in life’s journey, you are welcome here! There are no special rules to follow other than common curtesy. Everyone can fully participate in worship, member or not, and receive the sacraments of Holy communion and Baptism. Everyone present is eager to answer your questions. Our hope is to offer meaningful worship of our Creator God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, to everyone in an uplifting, spiritual environment.

Liturgists

We have a strong Liturgist ministry at FUMC. Trained Liturgists serve for a month at a time, beginning the 2nd Sunday of the month through communion Sunday of the following month and assist the Pastor at the Lord’s table. They welcome the congregation and lead them in prayer and scripture readings.

We recognize that many guests and members enjoy worshipping online, sometimes out of concern for safety in our Covid times, but also when traveling, homebound or ill. We have online seekers and walk-ins much like those who come through our doors on a given Sunday. We welcome our online congregation as part of the family. There is also the opportunity to host our Facebook worshipping community on Sunday morning which entails creating a welcoming online space on Facebook during live streaming, much like an in-person Greeter.

Stephanie Wambles is the coordinator of this ministry and can be reached through the church office, 863-676-2516.
